Game Report
In what must have been the game of the season. We played Carlisle City in our league title play off. In what became a nail biting game we won Carlisle City 3-2.
We deserved to win putting all our effort forward to take the league title. Tasha scoring 2 and Charlotte 1. Lots of near misses and 1 bounced back off the bar from Carly, and Carly was all over the pitch as usual.
Amy upfront on her own took the ball down but got tackled from behind. Sue and Chloe were both very strong in defence with a few bounces overhead but George was great and despite injuring her foot that got kicked, did brilliantly. Charlotte and Rachel covered midfield and a great ball from Charlotte that was lined up from Tasha. Beth played well after a week of sunning herself on holiday! All in all a great team effort was made by all and after a nail biting 2-2 thought we might go to penalties but in the end we got stuck in and Tasha took us through! Great football girls, you deserve your Trophy and title.
